Summary of Responsibilities:
The Head of Agency recruitment and Training is responsible for conceptualizing, designing and implementing the agency recruitment plan for  Agents (DA, FTDA, DAM, BM, GAD) and agency training roadmap and programs for agents (DA, FTDA, DAM, BM, GAD) & staff (ADM & AT). The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that all recruitment activities , licensing & coding , onboarding , skill development training / coaching and mandatory e-learning courses are completed as per roadmap defined and within the requirements of the internal and external compliance regulations.  
The incumbent will ensure the success and effectiveness of the setup, implementation and delivery of the Agency recruitment plan and training programs including classroom , blended and e-Learning platform and agency sales force  both internally and externally.
Principal Responsibilities:
  1. Responsible for design, development and implementation of an cost effective recruitment plan to achieve the recruitment KPIs on a monthly , quarterly and annual basis
  2. Ensure monthly new agents licensing and coding targets are achieved and net agents post attrition are as per plan to ensure quality of recruitment . Meet the activation ratio target of new agents in the first 30 , 60 and 90 days
  3. Design , get approval and launch suitable recruitment activities and initiatives within the budget prescribed to achieve the recruitment targets
  4. Conceptualise , develop and implement recruitment activities both off line and online to attract agents to join BML 
  5. Responsible for design, development and implementation of a suitable and effective training roadmap and best in class programs for Agency force (DA, FTDA, DAM, BM, GAD) for the first two years to create a professional agency force  .
  6. Devise and implement the first 90 day onboarding plan for new agents to ensure activation, productivity and retention of agents as per agreed benchmarks
  7. Design , develop and implement the Passport System for agents and leaders as per the training roadmap
  8. Design , develop and deliver personally effective training and skill enhancement programs for top performing FTDAs / DAMs every quarter
  9. Analise, report and recommend solutions for improvement in productivity ( activation ratio , case rate , case size ) of Agency force Agency force (DA, FTDA, DAM, BM, GAD) and improve sales force effectiveness from quarter to quarter .
  10. Design , develop and implement a suitable and effective plan to leverage MDRT platform and achieve target of  MDRT qualifiers every year .
  11. Lead and recommend new ideas and initiatives for improving training content , delivery and effectiveness by continuously reviewing existing training programs and gathering market and industry intelligence and best practices in learning and development of agency sales force in BML
  12. Pro-actively Work with RDoAs and ADMs to determine the recruitment and training needs of the various audiences and recommend appropriate solutions.
  13. Gather  VOC from RDoAs / ADMs / DAM/BM/GAD/Leaders, DA/FTDA to review recruitment and training programs and make necessary improvements
  14. Design and implement suitable KPIs for the training teams and implement an effective incentive program for the all Agency Trainer/AT.
  15. Leverage online and digital tools to design and implement training modules for Agency Force on products, operations, compliance and skill development
  16. Design , Develop and Implement the training curriculum
    • Work closely with the RDoA, ADMs  to implement the sales training program for Agency Force.
    • Work closely with the RDoA, ADMs to identify specific product & promotional training requirements in line with campaigns or as the business requires.
  17. Develop key internal and external relationships
    • Develop and manage quality relationships with distribution partners, vendors and all stakeholders.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with relevant internal departments like HR, IT , DS , Distribution strategy , Audit etc  and take advantage of all chances to communicate our long term strategic plans and objectives to best support the Agency Channel.
  18. Responsible for quality of content and delivery of all recruitment and training programs and ensuring proper record keeping and time sheets of all training programs conducted every month.
  19. Pro-actively review and improve the recruitment processes and documentation to remain compliant yet competitive in the marketplace
  20. Pro-actively conduct training needs Assessment and recommend effective solutions to improve sales force effectiveness through use of technology and resources
  21. Manage the effectiveness of the budget for recruitment and training activities.
  22. Responsible for recruitment, development and retention of effective, professional and result-oriented Agency trainers/AT and manage performance of the team through suitable and relevant KPIs
  23. Ensure that all operations and activities undertaken or recruitment and training comply with legal, compliance , audit & regulatory requirements and BIDV MetLife’s direction.
  24. Responsible for “ satisfactory “ audit rating of the agency recruitment  and training  for both internal and external audit , regulatory and  compliance requirements.
  25. Other tasks and projects assigned by CDO  from time to time

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required:
  • At least 10 years of experience in agency development inlcuding and not limited to agency recruitment , onboarding , Agency Training / Sales training /Direct Sales advance or Sales support experience within the insurance or other financial services industries.
  • At least 5 years of insurance Agency training experience within the insurance or other financial services industries. Bancassurance training experience is a preference
  • Demonstrable evidence of the ability to design, arrange and deliver agent recruitment and training programs
  • Possess strategic thinking , relationship management and  change management skills
  • Strong time management capabilities and TATs on tasks and projects
  • Pro-active , Strong analytical , problem solving skills
  • Demonstrable commitment in delivering exceptional customer service and customer experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication & interpersonal skills
  • Strong relationship and negotiation skills to manage external vendors and Internal stakeholders
  • Strong leadership skills - able to lead, inspire, motivate and develop the support team to deliver business performance
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills – able to make business-aligned and timely decisions
  • University Degree or higher
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to a demanding role in a start-up environment
